Man denies being a sex worker- Dubi

A lawyer has accused the public prosecution of failing to bring in strong evidence against her male client, who is standing trial for being a sex worker.
"My client is innocent and does not work in the sex industry. Law enforcement officers failed to carry out the law enforcement procedures against him properly meanwhile the public prosecution failed to substantiate the evidence brought against him," the lawyer of the 25-year-old Emirati man, A.H., told the Dubai Court of First Instance.
A.H. was charged with working in the sex industry by offering sexual services to men for money ranging between Dh700 and Dh1,000 per person and wearing women's outfits in public.
A.H. denied the charges. "I haven't worked in the sex industry nor slept with men for money and I did not make any lewd gestures in public," A.H. told the court.
A teenager, identified as A.S., and who faces the same charges has been referred to Dubai Juveniles' Court.
